It's one of the best herbs to use for feverish conditions, colds and flu, and it can also help circulatory conditions such as hypertension and varicose veins. Used long term it can help improve the menstrual cycle in terms of relieving clotting, cramping and heavy bleeding. Yarrow can also be used externally as a valuable wound healer and for preventing bruising.
Use the fresh leaves for a mildly bitter herbal tea or dry them for later use. Make a herbal tincture, or infuse the dried or wilted leaves into an infused oil to make into a balm for external use.
