Mugwort Plant

Mugwort Plant

Description

Artemisia vulgaris

This is one of the tallest perennials in my herb garden (up to 2.5m)! It prefers a well drained soil and sunny spot, but isnt too fussy. It can self seed and be quite a large plant to control, but it's also a very magical, beautiful silvery plant associated with the goddess Artemis.

It is traditionally used to invoke dreaming, calm the nerves and digestive system and can also help balance the menstrual cycle. It has a mild bitter taste.

The leaves and flowers can be used to make a herbal tea, tincture and also dried and made into smudge sticks or smoked.
