A perennial that grows 30-60cm and spreads up to 60cm. It has late small yellow flowers and I recommend to remove the seed heads early on to avoid it seeding over your garden. It prefers open conditions and not too fertile soil.
In herbal medicine this is a wonderful remedy for allergies including hayfever as it is an anti-inflammatory decongestant. It also has an affinity for the urinary system and may help with infections and oedma.
Use the aerial parts of the flowering plant to make a fresh or dried tea or tincture.
