Scutellaria laterifolia

This is a delicate perennial that grows to about half a meter tall and gets tiny purple flowers in the summer. It prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, but well drained soils.

This is another of my favourite plants for supporting stress and the nervous system. It can be helpful for relieving headaches, relaxing and calming down after a stimulating day. It can be used for anxiety and PMS when used over several months.

Makes a mild tasting fresh herbal tea, or can be dried for later use or made into a tincture.
